So, backstory time: see that bird thing up there with the wings and the halo? That's an angel. This particular one has four heads (bird, lion and two human) and two pairs of wings. He's one of the messengers of Heaven. In other words, there are parts of Hell that Gabriel (the official Messenger of God) doesn't like going to (mostly because those parts are usually mostly inhabited by fallen angels). So, whenever Heaven needs to deliver a message to those parts of Hell, they send this guy. And see those demon guys down there? The ones with bodies are fallen angels (that's why all of them usually have something sprouting out of their backs), the smokey ones with nothing but a mouth or an eye are lesser demons.
Great, now I need to think up names for all of them.
